Company History
Our Mission: To provide
exceptional service and a great selection of quality natural and manufactured
stone products.
September
2003
Marshall Stone was started as a retail division of a local,
family owned, ready-mix and block producer called Marshall Concrete Products on
September 1st, 2003. The concept was the embodiment of an idea by
Jeff Younginer, who was the VP of Sales for Marshall Concrete Products.
He envisioned creating a retail outlet for products manufactured and
distributed by Marshall Concrete. Marshall
Stone was initially known as Legacy Landscapes, which was the registered
trademark for those products.
The first facility in Virginia was acquired after the
dissolution of Hill Top Mulch, Inc.
Legacy Landscapes quickly began to expand its original plan due to local
demands. The company began selling
natural stone and aggregates in addition to concrete landscaping products.
Immediately, Legacy Landscapes employees began developing a good
reputation with local patrons.
Values centered around honesty and integrity were directly responsible for
Legacy Landscapes becoming known as a market leader in the hardscaping and
natural stone industry in the Roanoke and Smith Mountain Lake areas of Virginia.
June 2005
In response to the evolution of business, Legacy Landscapes
changed its name to Marshall Stone Inc., still operating as a division of
Marshall Concrete Products. Momentum
continued for Marshall Stone going into the next few years.
Marshall Stone began developing partnerships with key vendors across
North America in order to bring the finest hardscaping and natural stone
products available in the United States to the area.
January –
April 2006
Marshall Stone was purchased by Jeff Younginer and Danny
Marshall and became a
stand-alone company in January of 2006.
Jeff Younginer became president of the company, while Marshall Concrete
Products was acquired by Chandler Concrete.
Furthermore, as a brand new company, Marshall Stone acquired the
operating assets of Stultz Landscape Supplies in Kernersville, NC to form the
second company location, and what is now the home office.
May 2006 -

Presently, Marshall Stone continues to be at the leading edge of our industry.
We always strive to bring the best and finest products, employees, and
