Description:
Thin stone is described as a thin flat stone ranging from 3/4" - 1 3/4" in thickness. Quarried or field stone, it's face size, thickness and color can vary. Thin stone is primarily used for dry stacked walls, veneer on fireplaces, chimneys, houses, walls, foundations, garden walls and retaining walls.

Apache Grey Multi-colored light to dark gray stone with light and dark brown tones 130-150 14-18 6-18" x 6-18" A quarried schist. This stone is very hard but splits well along natural seams. Apache Grey is a very popular choice for fireplaces, chimneys, and walls. Color does not alter as much as that of other stones but occasionally still changes.
Appalachian Blue A dark gray and dark brown stone with copper and greenish tones throughout 120-140 14-18 6-18" x 6-18" A quarried metamorphic stone. This stone is very hard and will only split along natural seams. It sometimes contains iron deposits which can cause rusting. When using this stone, we recommend that you purchase enough stone to complete a single project due to occasional variations in color. This stone is an excellent choice for any veneer or dry-stack application. Picture Not Available
Rustic Brown A light brown to rust colored stone with streaks of dark and light gray 110-130 14-18 4-14" x 6-20" A quarried metamorphic stone. This stone is not as hard as a schist and therefore shapes and splits easily. There are high levels of iron that lead to rusting. Rustic Brown should be purchased in quantities large enough to complete a single project. Color does not vary as much as some other stones though. The rusting caused by the iron content is very noticeable and adds character to this stone making it an excellent choice for interior or exterior applications.
Alpine Grey A light gray stone with very slight greenish tones 120-140 14-18 6-18" x 6-18" A quarried metamorphic stone. Alpine Grey is extremely hard, therefore hard to split and shape. Alpine Grey is a very consistent stone with regard to color. There is virtually no rust and color is very consistent. This stone is an excellent choice for applications that require the green color and is also an excellent choice to blend with other colors for contrast. Picture Not Available
Ozark Brown A dark brown stone with charcoal and rust colored overtones 110-130 14-18 6-14" x 6-24" A quarried metamorphic stone. This stone splits easily along natural seams and is easy to shape. Iron content in the stone causes some rusting. When using this stone, we recommend that you purchase enough stone to complete a single project due to occasional variations in color. This stone is an excellent choice for foundation or exterior wall work. Very rustic in appearance.
Yosemite A tan and cream colored blend of colors characterize the appearance of this stone 110-130 14-18 6-18" x 6-18" A quarried metamorphic stone. High levels of quartz. This stone is very hard and virtually impossible to split unless along a natural seam. Yosemite is a uniquely colored stone. It is very consistent between pallets. The dark grey and rust colored tones make for a truly unique appearance. Excellent choice for interior and exterior applications.
Copper Bay A greenish gray to light brown stone with very small white streaks throughout 120-140 14-18 6-18" x 6-18" A quarried schist. This stone is very hard but splits well along natural seams. Copper Bay creates a very rustic appearance. It's grayish green tones are very inviting in any veneer application and its consistency in thickness make it an excellent choice for stack projects. Southwest Blend A light gray with brown and rust colored tones on the face and edge 120-140 14-18 4-14" x 6-20" A quarried metamorphic stone. This stone splits easily along natural seams and is easy to shape. Iron content in the stone causes rusting. Southwestern Blend is an excellent choice for any application. Colors do not change drastically between pallets, but do vary. Rusting pieces add to the character of this stone and make for a very exciting color scheme.
Granite Grey A light gray stone with occasional streaks of white 130-150 14-18 6-18" x 6-18" A quarried schist. This stone is very hard but splits well along natural seams. Granite Grey is very popular for all applications. Color is consistent between pallets but will occasionally change. Product for single projects should still be purchased at one time.
Piedmont Rose A rose colored stone with a mixture of blue, grey and lighter tones of red 120-140 14-18 6-24" x 6-24" A quarried schist. This stone is very hard and does not split well. It most often has to be laid in the original quarried thickness. Piedmont Rose combines a variety of colors to create a truly unique appearance. Rose colors and red overtones add to this stone's unique look. This stone is high in iron and will rust. Piedmont Rose is a very popular choice for fireplaces, chimneys, and walls.
Highland Blend A dark gray stone with green colored tones and brown overtones 110-130 14-18 6-18" x 6-18" A quarried metamorphic stone. This stone splits easily along natural seams and is easy to shape. This stone is an excellent choice for applications that require the green color. When using this stone, we recommend that you purchase enough stone to complete a single project due to occasional variations in color.
Glacier Valley Multi-colored stone with gray and purple tones 120-140 14-18 6-24" x 6-24" A quarried metamorphic schist.  This stone is very hard and is often difficult to split. Glacier Valley is a hard stone but is easily laid due to the consistency in thickness.  If offers depth and a color range that are great for most projects.
Auburn Buff A light brown stone with buff overtones and streaks and patches of rust 110-130 14-18 6-18" x 6-18" A quarried metamorphic stone.  This stone is not as hard as a schist and therefore shapes and splits easily. Auburn Buff is a excellent for applications which require a medium to light brown colored stone.  Colors stay fairly consistent with this product but it is still recommended that enough stone be ordered to complete a project.
Maple Ridge Multi-colored stone with brown, gray, and tan dispersed throughout.  Available in tumbled and non-tumbled varieties. 130-150 14-18 6-18" x 6-18"   Maple Ridge is a very popular choice for fireplaces, chimneys, and walls. When using this stone, we recommend that you purchase enough stone to complete a single project due to occasional variations in color.
